Fenix Inn is located at the national road A10 on Lake Miedwie, approximately 6 kilometers from Stargard Szczeciński and 36 kilometers from Szczecin city center.
Lake Miedwie, the fifth biggest in Poland, is a ribbon lake. The Old Slavic name of the lake derives from the word "med" which means "honey". It is located 14 meters above mean sea level and it is a concealed depression (part of its bottom is located below mean sea level, the lowest spot in Poland). Its shores are mainly flat. The northern shore of the lake, very well developed, makes for great leisure and versatile recreation. The lake waters accommodate a rare fish species of whitefish, as well as crustaceans found in Alpine lakes.
When staying on Lake Miedwie, you can visit neighboring towns, such as Szczecin, Stargard Szczeciński and Gryfino. Szczecin boasts the beautiful Wały Chrobrego (King Chrobry's Embankments) on Odra River, as well as many interesting historic buildings, such as the Castle of Pomeranian Dukes, the Loitz House, the Port Gate, the King's Gate, the Maiden's Tower, St. Jacob's Cathedral.
The nearby Stargard Szczeciński is famous for the only UNESCO world heritage site in Western Pomerania, the Church of the Virgin Mary and an interesting system of fortifications from late 13th century with many gates from mid-15th century.
In Gryfino, on the other hand, there is a modern aquapark "Laguna", where you can enjoy water sports.
